Enjoy tips and treats at free Rocky Reach Safety Harvest

Chelan County PUD will welcome trick-or-treaters to Rocky Reach Visitor Center for a free Safety Harvest on Sunday, Oct. 28, from 1-3 p.m.There will be safety tips and treats, appearances by McGruff the Crime Dog, Sparky the Fire Dog and safety tips from Chelan County PUD employees. RiverCom will also teach children when they should dial 911.
There will be a hot dog lunch available for purchase and a performance by Monroe singing group, “The Bobbers,” in the Museum of the Columbia.
All grade-school children in Chelan and Douglas counties are invited to share in the safety fun, and all are encouraged to come in costume.
The Rocky Reach Visitor Center, seven miles north of Wenatchee on Highway 97A, is open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. through Nov. 18.
All exhibits are free.
