Power was restored at 10:10 a.m. Friday to Chelan County PUD customers along Wenatchee Avenue between Fifth and Ninth streets following several outages in the area that started Thursday evening.
A power system condition that requires a different procedure to reenergize the lines was identified Friday morning and used to restore power.
First reports of the outage were received about 6:30 p.m. Thursday. Crews worked through the night to locate and repair equipment in an underground vault at Seventh and Wenatchee Avenue.
Following another outage about 7:40 a.m. Friday, system operators interrupted power at 8:45 a.m. along Wenatchee Avenue. That allowed crews and engineers to identify the condition and restore power with the different procedure.
