Wind blows tree into line at Coles Corner

Strong winds blew a tree into power lines near Coles Corner Tuesday afternoon, causing an outage for about 180 Chelan County PUD electric customers west along the Stevens Pass Highway. 

Chelan County PUD crews found a tree blown into the power line behind businesses at the intersection of highways 2 and 207 at Coles Corner. Two spans of power line were replaced and repairs made to crossarms on a power pole. 

The outage was reported about 1:15 p.m. All but a few customers were back in service by 4 p.m.
