Wednesday night power outage affects Wenatchee

A power outage affected some businesses near Wenatchee Avenue from 9th Street north to Miller Street Wednesday night starting around 7 p.m. A fault in an underground cable near 9th Street and Wenatchee Avenue caused the outage. Because only one of three phases of the power cable was damaged, the outage was spotty with different customers having all, some or no power.

Chelan County PUD crews were able to re-route power to most customers by 8:30 p.m. All customers were back in service by 9:08 p.m.
