News Release
5/8/2007
A quarter-mile section of the riverfront trail through Walla Walla Point Park will be closed for repair starting Monday, May 14.
The trail will be closed from the Lindston Barn north to the restroom near shelter No. 2 to repair damage from wear and tear. The work is expected to take about a week. Park users are asked to avoid the area during construction.
There will be a detour out of the park at Ninth Street to Walla Walla Avenue and back to the Walla Walla Park entrance across from Lowe’s. Trail users are urged to be cautious of road construction along Walla Walla Avenue.
MAP of Wenatchee is doing the $12,000 repair project.
