PUD commissioners narrow list of search firms to four

PUD commissioners will interview representatives of four executive search firms, taking another step in the search for a new PUD general manager. Interviews will be scheduled at public meetings the first week of December. Times and dates are still being set.

Commissioners reviewed proposals from 10 firms on Tuesday. Those chosen for interviews are:

 
Hiring an executive search firm is one of several steps being taken by commissioners to fill the vacancy created when Charlie Hosken announced last month he will take a new job in California. Board members also appointed Wayne Wright interim general manager and are holding seven meetings across the county to gather public comment on the qualifications and characteristics desired in the next PUD general manager.

The next two public meetings on the general manager qualities are at 7 tonight at the Entiat School cafeteria and 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Leavenworth Festhalle.

PUD commissioners will hold a special meeting at 7 tonight, Nov. 15, in the Entiat School cafeteria to discuss the route of a new transmission line to serve the Entiat Valley and take public comment on the qualifications and characteristics needed in a new general manager. Another special meeting on general manager qualifications is set for 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16, at the Leavenworth Festhalle.

The next regular meeting of PUD commission is at 10 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 21, in the boardroom, 327 N. Wenatchee Ave.
